About the location

Bulabog Beach, Boracay

You are in luck because you have found the paradise of kitesurfing in Asia. Tropical wind and sunshine makes this the perfect location for your kitesurfing holiday. Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned rider, there are conditions to suit every level. Bulabog Beach in Boracay Island is a flat water lagoon spot with an outer reef break. It is an ideal spot for practising freestyle kiteboarding.

The main season is Amihan, which is a very steady and consistent North-East wind blowing from October to April. Wind speeds average 15-25 knots, which makes it ideal for first time learners - not too strong, not too light, just perfect! Boracay is known for its amazing wind conditions, as the wind blows 90% percent of the time. You only risk tiring yourself out as you revel in the disbelief that you can kite from as early as 6am to 6pm! The water temperature is a balmy 25-30’C, so no wetsuit is needed, but a rash vest is advised to protect against the strong tropical sun. Our school is located right on the beach front next to restaurants and cafes so you can easily spend all day here resting and chilling in between multiple kite sessions; stepping right off our shop floor and onto your kite board.

Things to Know

The lagoon is tidal, which means we must time our sessions according to appropriate water levels, as during extreme low tides it is too shallow to ride safely.

The bottom of the lagoon comprises of sea grass, and rocks/reef in some areas. There is also marine life such as starfish and urchins living on the bottom surface, so we advise riders to be mindful when walking or stepping. We provide booties to our customers taking lessons or rentals so you don’t have to worry about the bottom.
